Legoland in HD! Sort of…
September 4, 2008So, for me this is an experiment in working with HD video. Unfortunately you have to watch it on the web. Now there are actually sites that facilitate HD video including one I really like called Vimeo. But, they only allow 500mb of uploads each week and this video is about 1.3GB in 780p HD (Forget 1080p). So, even cutting it up is a no go for now. Back to Veoh where I can upload any size video. However, Veoh doesn’t support HD, so they convert down to 480. I exported an MPEG2 at 720×480 and got the size down to about 650mb. What you see below is the result. Ultimately it’s neat widescreen, acceptable video quality, and a tad overexposed (my fault – it was a cloudy day and I added a tone filter in Ulead). Enjoy!
Oh, and if you want to watch it fullscreen, click here. Don’t know why the button on the player doesn’t work.
As you can see we had a great time. Some of the rides were even great for adults. I noticed some people were surprised they have rollercoasters. Well… they have rollercoasters, at least 2 that I know of. The second of which I couldn’t get video of ’cause I was on it. But it was COOL!
