Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads & Grandpas!!  The title was Camden’s first lesson in ocean swimming…..close your mouth when a wave comes!  We had a great day yesterday.  As Rob said, it was many firsts.   He can say that he has never played the guitar or gone to the ocean….on Father’s Day!

We toured around Del Mar, which is North of San Diego and where a large racetrack is (horse racing).  It’s a mix of lots of tourists and the people who live there, who are beyond moderately wealthy.  The scenery is spectacular and we finally made it to the ocean about 5:00.  I couldn’t believe how many people were still there!  This is the area that people had told us is packed all summer long….the beach and the parking spaces.  So, we will need to find a little less known beach.  The kids had a blast (obviously) and since the water was really shallow, could go out quite a ways to experience waves breaking on them.  We ventured home at 7:00 to have Rob’s favorite…..our local pizza down the block, a cold beer & a movie!
